Failure analysis and litigation consulting

Fiber Planners has been called in after several unexplained fiber failures to determine the cause of the failure, determine if more such failures are likely on other parts of the route and recommend corrective action. As an unbiased third party, we work with the utility, the installers and the material vendors to get to the bottom of the problem as quickly and discreetly as possible. If necessary, we'll function as expert witnesses in any resulting litigation, although usually these problems can be resolved without going that far. If necessary, we use additional specialized resources such as FLI-MAP or Kinectrics to support our case.

These are always painful, un-budgeted, unscheduled situations for the parties involved and we work hard to solve the problems as economically and smoothly for the utility as possible. Aerial fiber cable systems installed by utilities are known to be the most reliable fiber systems. It's important for power utilities to safeguard this reputation.
